In July 2006 I opened MOGO RAW ART and BLUES after some 28 years in community Arts. Working across the country from Adelaide to Yirrkala NT in '79 to manage what is now known as Buku-Larrngay Mulka, returned to Adelaide & the Riverland SA around '88, back up to Yirrkala in 1990 and then over to Darwin in '94 as Director of 24HR Art the NT Contemporary Art Space. These experiences have given me lifetime friendships and inform the type of work and Artists I exhibit. Also nine years as Director of Maruku Arts out at Uluru in Central Australia until Easter '06, Art Centres I worked with in that country now send down some of the best in RAW ART from their members. In particular the work of Nura Rupert from Ernabella Arts, my old mentor's big sister - a lady with unique vision, unaffected by the ART scene operating around her - I get great pleasure in showing Nura's work. More recently I have connected with that mob at ART in THE GARAGE from Bega NSW - ART full of joy by some of the best Artists in the neighbourhood.

So a long held dream to open my own space is now reality, old acquaintances have been renewed with Adelaide artists Jungle, Ted Jonsson, Julie Corfe, Christine McCormack all Artists with singular vision and new friendships formed with the likes of Artist Tim Sharp from Brisbane, Luiza Urbanik from Long Beach NSW and Bill Insch from Wyndham NSW the list goes on ...

My other passion in life is Blue's music so I also stock around 800 CD's some the originals first recorded in the 20's others the most recent releases - while sitting in the desert I found CAT HEAD a site for a gallery in Clarksdale Mississippi that introduced me to the Art work of J D Sipe and Lamar Sorrento this gallery also deals in some great Blues, I knew then what I wanted - thanks Roger!

So if it is RAW ART that you enjoy - Art out on the edge of what can be expected, not necessarily Outsider but including Outsider Art, that's where I sit, that's where I get much joy - then come down and share it, there is always something different, it seems someone new steps inside my circle every other month, I am constantly being amazed by the Raw creativity that exists across this planet.
